New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Sanjay A. Lathkar, IPS (JH:1995) as Director General (Security), Department of Atomic Energy.

Lathkar will hold the post at Level-16 from the date of assuming charge until his superannuation on September 30, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

As part of the approval, the post of Inspector General (Security), Department of Atomic Energy, has been temporarily upgraded from Level-14 to Level-16 in the Pay Matrix.

The temporary upgradation will take effect from the officer’s date of joining the post and will continue up to July 25, 2028 (third year) as a measure personal to the officer.
