Delhi Police Reshuffle: Key IPS and DANIPS officers relieved for new postings
Following recent official orders from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Delhi Government, the Delhi Police department has officially relieved several IPS and DANIPS officers from their current duties. Effective August 17, 2026 (afternoon), these officers have been instructed to transition to their new designated roles and report to their respective new postings.
Five DANIPS officers in Delhi get new postings
Alongside the IPS reshuffle, five DANIPS officers have also been transferred in Delhi. Krishan Kumar has been posted as DCP/Special Cell, Pankaj Kumar as DCP/Crime, and Pawan Kumar as DCP/PCR. Meanwhile, Dheerendra Pratap Singh has been assigned as DCP/4th Battalion, DAP, and Subodh Kumar Goswami has been appointed DCP/EOW.
Three DANIPS officers assigned new roles in Delhi
In Delhi, three DANIPS officers have been given fresh responsibilities. Jagdev Singh now serves as Additional DCP, East District (CDC), Sunil has been appointed Additional DCP, North-West District (CDC), and Abhishek Gupta takes over as Additional DCP, Security (CDC), strengthening mid-level leadership across key regions.
