The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a fresh round of administrative changes, transferring 13 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to strategic positions across the state. The latest reshuffle, approved by the Yogi Adityanath-led government, is aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and ensuring smoother implementation of governance and development programmes.
Among the prominent changes, Indra Vikram Singh (IAS: 2009) has been appointed Divisional Commissioner, Gorakhpur. He succeeds Anil Dhingra, who has been entrusted with multiple responsibilities in the Housing Department.
Key Appointments in the IAS Reshuffle
Anil Dhingra (IAS: 2008) has been moved from the post of Divisional Commissioner, Gorakhpur, to serve as Housing Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh Housing & Development Board. In addition, he will hold the charge of Director, Urban Land Ceiling and Secretary, Housing & Urban Planning.
Indra Vikram Singh (IAS: 2009) has been shifted from his role as Secretary, Agriculture and will now head the Gorakhpur Division as its new Divisional Commissioner.
Ravindra Kumar (IAS: 2010), who continues as Principal Secretary, Agriculture, has been assigned the additional responsibility of Director, State Agricultural Produce Mandi Council.
Shambhu Kumar (IAS: 2010) has been elevated from Managing Director, Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited to Divisional Commissioner, Bareilly.
Dr. Lokesh M. (IAS: 2005) has been appointed Divisional Commissioner, Prayagraj, after serving as Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD).
Saumya Agarwal (IAS: 2008) has been transferred from Divisional Commissioner, Prayagraj, to the post of Labour Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh.
Sandeep Kumar (IAS: 2014) will now serve as Managing Director, Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, replacing his previous assignment as Member (Judicial), Board of Revenue.
Pushp Raj Singh (IAS: 2022) has been posted as Additional Chief Executive Officer, Noida Authority, after serving as Secretary, Gorakhpur Development Authority.
Vaibhav Srivastava (IAS: 2009) has been appointed Divisional Commissioner, Basti, moving from his earlier role as Managing Director, Pradeshik Cooperative Dairy Federation (PCDF).
Prakash Bindu (IAS: 2009) has been named the new Managing Director, PCDF, following his tenure as Secretary, Home & Vigilance.
Bhupendra S. Chaudhary (IAS: 2009) has been shifted from Divisional Commissioner, Bareilly, to Secretary, Administrative Reforms.
Satish Pal (IAS: 2016) has been transferred from Additional CEO, Noida Authority, to the Home Department as Special Secretary.
Dr. Balkar Singh (IAS: 2004) has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) after serving as Housing Commissioner.
