In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Tripura government has reassigned multiple IAS officers to key administrative positions across the state. The General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department issued an official notification detailing the transfers, aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery in various districts.
As per the order, IAS Upendra Jamatia has been transferred from his current role as Superintendent Engineer, RD Circle-II, Gomati District, Udaipur, to serve as Additional District Magistrate (ADM) & Collector (PPs) in Sepahijala District, Bishramganj.
Other key appointments include:
- IAS Sumit K. Pandey (2020 batch): Moved from ADM & Collector (PPs), Khowai, to ADM & Collector (PPs), Dhalai District, Ambassa.
- IAS Mihir Kanti Gop: Transferred from Chief Engineer, Urban Development Department, Agartala, to ADM & Collector (PPs), North Tripura, Dharmanagar.
- IAS Rinku Lather (2020 batch): Assigned as ADM & Collector, Sepahijala District, Bishramganj.
The reshuffle, approved by J. Datta, Under Secretary to the Government of Tripura, is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and streamline governance across districts.
