The Tamil Nadu government has transferred three IPS officers and announced new postings through orders issued on October 21, 2026.

Kamini, who was serving as Trichy City Police Commissioner, has been posted to Chennai as Inspector General (IG) of the Administrative Wing at the Director General of Police (DGP) office.

Santosh Kumar, formerly IG of the Economic Offences Wing, has been appointed IG of Civil Supplies CID, replacing Rupesh Kumar Meena.

Rupesh Kumar Meena has been transferred to Tiruchirappalli as City Police Commissioner. His new posting reportedly comes with a promotion.

The reshuffle brings changes to key police positions in Chennai and Tiruchirappalli.
