Signing of Memorandum of Understanding for Carbon Neutral between Housing and HUDCO and NSG

he Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) took a significant step towards sustainable development by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Security Guard (NSG). This MoU will pave way for setting-up an advanced material recovery facility under the broader objective of developing NSG Manesar campus as carbon neutral. The MoU was executed in the presence of Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, CMD, HUDCO, and Shri M A Ganapathy, IPS, DG, NSG, and under the guidance of Shri Deepak Kumar Kedia, IPS, IG, NSG. This MoU will mark the beginning of a CSR project aimed at establishing a Carbon-Neutral Campus through sustainable waste management at the NSG Manesar Campus.

The collaboration aims to implement a comprehensive waste management infrastructure in the NSG Manesar Campus, aligning with the Swachh Bharat Mission of the Government of India. Shri M. Nagaraj, Director (Corporate Planning), and Mrs. Manzil Saini, IPS, DIG (Admin), NSG, executed the MoU in the presence of the top leadership.

The project’s key features include –

  1. Door-to-Door Waste Collection,
  2. Bio-Methanation Technology,
  3. Source Segregation Awareness,
  4. Last Mile Traceability,
  5. Carbon Emission Reduction.

HUDCO, under its CSR activities, is committed to supporting the NSG in creating a model for sustainable waste management, minimizing landfill usage, and reducing the carbon footprint. This partnership exemplifies the shared commitment of both organizations towards environmental stewardship and community well-being.
