The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has strengthened its senior leadership with the promotion of several officers to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) grade, reflecting a major elevation within India’s premier investigating agency.
Among those promoted is M Harsha Vardhan, whose elevation to DIG marks an important milestone in his professional journey. Dr Navdeep Singh Brar has also been promoted to the DIG rank, underscoring his experience and contributions to complex and high-stakes investigations handled by the CBI.
The promotion list further includes C Kalaichelvan, Jashandeep Singh Randhawa, and Gaurav Singh, all of whom have been elevated to the DIG grade. Their advancement is expected to add depth and operational strength to the CBI’s leadership across key investigative verticals.
Additionally, Suhail Sharma and Raguramarajan have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General in the CBI, completing the latest round of senior-level promotions. These elevations are aimed at reinforcing the agency’s command structure and enhancing its capacity to deal with sensitive and complex cases nationwide.
This round of promotions reflects the CBI’s continued focus on strengthening institutional leadership and ensuring effective oversight of investigations at the national level.
