Satyabrata Mukherjee, currently serving as Director (Operations) at Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), has been selected for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD).
The selection was made during a meeting of the Public Enterprises Selection Board held on March 16, 2026. Notably, only two candidates were interviewed for the top post.
This appointment is expected to strengthen leadership at AVNL, a key defence public sector undertaking under the Government of India.
