RECPDCL transfers Lakadia B Power transmission SPV to Reliance Industries

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Limited under the Ministry of Power, has officially handed over the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the Lakadia B Power Transmission Project to Reliance Industries Ltd. This transfer took place on February 14, 2025, in Gurugram.

Reliance Industries emerged victorious as the Transmission Service Provider through a competitive bidding process managed by RECPDCL. TSC Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, handed over the SPV to N Vaidyanathan, Sr. Vice President of Reliance Industries, amidst senior officials from both entities and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.

With an estimated cost of Rs. 512.58 Crore, this 24-month project aims to augment transformation capacity at Lakadia Pooling Station in Gujarat to facilitate power evacuation from renewable sources.
