The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of six Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers, with immediate effect.

The General Administration Department issued Government Order No. 1719-JK(GAD) of 2026 on October 31, announcing changes in district administration and other government departments.

The reshuffle includes new assignments in Baramulla, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and various sub-divisions.

Key Transfers and Postings:

• Khalid Majeed, JKAS: Transferred from Special Secretary, School Education Department, and posted as Additional District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, against an available vacancy.
• Udham Dass, JKAS: Transferred from Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat and appointed Joint Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. He replaces Satish Kumar, JKAS, who will await further posting orders in the General Administration Department.
• Mohd. Raiyaz, JKAS: Transferred from Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Karnah-Tangdhar, and directed to await further adjustment orders in the General Administration Department.
• Dr. Amit Kumar, JKAS: Transferred from Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Padder, and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Marh. He will relieve Mukhter Ahmad, JKAS, of the additional charge.
• Daljeet Singh, JKAS: Transferred from Tehsildar, Sunderbani, and appointed Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Padder.
• Firdous Ahmad Qadri, JKAS: Transferred from Tehsildar, Bandipora, and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Karnah-Tangdhar.

The order was issued in the interest of administration and signed by M. Raju, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.
