The HAL Management Academy (HMA) and Indian Institute of Information Technology Dharwad (IIIT Dharwad) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bolster industry-academia ties in advanced technologies.
This partnership will focus on collaborative research, internships, and technical education in AI, Data Science, Robotics, AR/VR, and Digital Manufacturing, with applications in aerospace and defence. HAL officers can pursue higher education at IIIT Dharwad, while students gain practical experience through internships at HAL.
Joint workshops, publications, and faculty exchanges are also part of this initiative. Dr. G Srikantha Sharma, Executive Director of HMA, and Prof. S R Mahadeva Prasanna, Director of IIIT Dharwad, highlighted the synergy between their missions to address industry challenges using cutting-edge technology.
The MoU was signed in the presence of HAL CMD Dr. D K Sunil and Executive Director HR, Shri M G Balasubrahmanya, marking a pivotal step toward fostering innovation and skill development in aerospace and defence.
