Eight officers assigned key administrative roles in Tamil Nadu

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has transferred and appointed eight IAS officers to strategic positions across key departments and districts.

Mrs R Jaya has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Special Initiatives Department, strengthening high-level policy coordination. Mrs Kalaiselvi has taken charge as Director of Economics and Statistics, while Mrs T Sneha has been posted as District Collector of Kancheepuram.

Mrs S Malathy Helan has assumed office as District Collector of Chengalpattu district. K Ravikumar has been appointed as District Collector of Karur district. Chandra Sekhar Sahkhamuri has been named Chief Executive Officer of CMDA, enhancing urban development administration.

Further, A Shanmuga Sundaram has been posted as Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission, and Mrs N Ponmani has been appointed Deputy Commissioner in the Commercial Tax Department, Erode.

The latest IAS transfers in Tamil Nadu aim to streamline governance, improve district administration, and strengthen departmental leadership across the state.
