The Assam Government has entrusted senior IAS officer Dr. Patibandla Ashok Babu with additional responsibilities, strengthening administrative reforms in the state.
A 2003-batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, Dr. P. A. Babu, currently serving as Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, and handling additional charge as Additional Principal Resident Commissioner and Head of Department, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi, will now also oversee:
- Commissioner & Secretary, Administrative Reforms & Training Department
- Pension & Public Grievance Department
This expanded role underscores Assam’s commitment to improved governance, better service delivery, and streamlined administrative processes.
