New Delhi, October 24, 2026: The Delhi Government has ordered a major police reshuffle, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to six Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and 19 Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Service (DANIPS) officers. The orders, issued on October 23, 2026, take immediate effect.

The changes cover several important units and district formations, including the Crime Branch, Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Security, Special Cell and Economic Offences Wing (EOW). Several officers have also been assigned additional responsibilities or postings under the CDC arrangement.

IPS Officers: New postings and Additional Charges

• Monika Bhardwaj (IPS: 2009, AGMUT): Transferred from Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) to Additional Commissioner of Police (ANTF).
• Rahul Malik (IPS: 2009, AGMUT): Posted as Additional Commissioner of Police (Security) on arrival.
• Gaurav Sharma (IPS: 2009, AGMUT): Posted as Additional Commissioner of Police (Security) on arrival.
• Raja Banthia (IPS: 2014, AGMUT): Will continue as DCP (Technical & PI) with additional charge of DCP (IT).
• Neha Yadav (IPS: 2015, AGMUT): Posted as DCP (PMMC), relinquishing the additional charge of SPUWAC.
• Praveen Kumar Tripathi (IPS: 2020, AGMUT): Transferred from DCP (Special Cell) to the Commissioner of Police’s Secretariat.

The reshuffle is aimed at reallocating responsibilities across Delhi Police’s specialised units and district formations. The officers’ new assignments take effect in accordance with the transfer and posting orders.
