Senior IPS officer Ajay Pal Sharma, a 2011-batch officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been transferred to West Bengal on deputation for a period of five years. The move has been ordered by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India.
Sharma’s deputation is expected to bring his administrative and policing experience to the West Bengal government, contributing to strengthening law enforcement and governance in the state.
