New Joint Secretaries appointed across Key Government Ministries

In a recent reshuffle of government officials, several notable appointments have been made to the position of Joint Secretary across various ministries, aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and governance.

Praveen Kumar Rai has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), bringing with him extensive experience in public administration. Following him, Rakesh Kumar Pandey has also been designated as Joint Secretary in the MHA, expected to contribute significantly to the ministry’s strategic initiatives.

In another key role, Rajesh Gupta has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the MHA, further strengthening the leadership team within the ministry.

Shifting focus to labor issues, Ajoy Sharma has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Labour, where he will oversee important reforms aimed at improving labor welfare.

Dinesh Mahur will take on the role of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines, tasked with facilitating sustainable mining practices and regulatory compliance.

In a move to bolster public service efficiency, P Bala Kiran has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), focusing on improving human resource management within government services.

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) will see Anjan Kumar Mishra stepping in as Secretary, where he will oversee critical developments in the energy sector.

Mukesh Mangal has been appointed as Joint Secretary for Ports, a position pivotal for enhancing India’s maritime trade and infrastructure.

In a significant appointment, Ms Gurneet Tej has been designated as Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), where she will drive initiatives to foster industrial growth and innovation.

Finally, Amit Nirmal has been appointed Joint Secretary in the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST), where he will work towards addressing the concerns and rights of tribal communities across the nation.

These appointments reflect the government’s commitment to strengthen its administrative framework and enhance the effectiveness of various ministries in addressing the challenges facing the nation.
