Massive IPS reshuffle in Bihar: 71 officers get new postings

The Bihar government has carried out a major reshuffle of IPS officers, reassigning 71 senior and mid-level officers across the state. Preeta Verma has been appointed Director General-cum-Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation, while Kundan Krishnan takes charge as Director General of Police, Special Task Force (STF).

Several Additional Directors General, Inspectors General, Deputy Inspectors General, and Superintendents of Police have been posted to key wings including Prohibition, Cyber Crime, Railways, Law and Order, Vigilance, Special Armed Police, Human Rights, Training, Traffic, and Anti-Terrorism operations. The reshuffle also includes new Commandants for Bihar Special Armed Police battalions, SSPs and SPs for major districts, and CSPs and SDPOs in important urban and rural police subdivisions, reflecting a comprehensive overhaul of the state police administration.
