In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar Government has transferred and reassigned 16 IAS officers, entrusting them with crucial responsibilities across urban development, power, education, finance, health, tourism, and rural development sectors. The move is aimed at strengthening governance and accelerating administrative efficiency across the state.
Under the latest orders, Animesh Kumar Parashar, Managing Director of Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation, has been given the additional responsibility of Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department. Shirshat Kapil Ashok has been appointed as Managing Director of COMFED, Patna, while Nilesh Ramchandra Deore, currently serving as Special Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, will also oversee the role of Special Secretary in the Urban Development and Housing Department.
In the rural development sector, Ananya Singh has been entrusted with the role of Additional Chief Executive Officer, Jeevika, under the Rural Development Department. She will also hold the additional charge of Commissioner, MGNREGA, reinforcing the state’s focus on rural empowerment and livelihood enhancement initiatives.
The reshuffle also places Kumar Mangalam as Secretary of the Revenue Board, Bihar, Patna. Prashant Kumar CH, serving as Additional Chief Election Officer, has been assigned the additional responsibility of Project Director, Bihar Education Project Council. Meanwhile, Vishal Raj has been appointed Managing Director of Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited, and Sparsh Gupta will serve as Additional Executive Director of the State Health Society, Patna.
Further strengthening the administrative framework, Shreshth Anupam has been posted as Joint Secretary in the Finance Department, while Abhishek Palasiya joins as Joint Secretary, Road Construction Department. Pradeep Singh has been assigned as Joint Secretary, Tourism Department, and Kumar Nishant Vivek takes over as Director, Primary Education.
Among other prominent appointments, Naval Kishore Chaudhary has been designated as Managing Director of Bihar State Transmission Company Limited, Patna. Navdeep takes charge as Special Secretary in the Department of Youth Employment and Skill Development, whereas Pawan Kumar Sinha has been posted as Special Secretary, Higher Education Department. Saurabh Jorwal, Managing Director of South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited, has additionally been entrusted with the leadership of Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited.
The latest IAS reshuffle reflects Bihar’s continued efforts to place experienced officers in pivotal positions to drive development, infrastructure growth, educational reforms, and effective public service delivery across the state.
