The Assam Government has announced a fresh round of administrative appointments involving four Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening governance, urban administration, and policy coordination across the state.
As part of the new postings, Ankur Das has been appointed Commissioner of the Silchar Municipal Corporation. Anand Malhotra has been assigned the role of Deputy Secretary in the Finance Department, while Arjit Mahajan has been posted as Deputy Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat at Dispur. Shivani Jerngal has been entrusted with the responsibility of Commissioner of the Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation.
The latest administrative changes are expected to enhance the functioning of key government departments and municipal bodies while ensuring efficient delivery of public services and development initiatives across Assam.
