In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Keralam government has transferred and reassigned 30 IPS officers across key policing and intelligence positions. Senior officer P Vijayan has been appointed as ADGP (Law & Order) and will additionally oversee Cyber Operations, while S Sreejith takes charge as ADGP (Prisons). Other notable appointments include Balram Kumar Upadhyay as ADGP, Armed Police Battalion, H Venkatesh as ADGP, Crime Branch, and Dinendra Kashyap as ADGP, Intelligence.
The overhaul also brings changes at the Inspector General and Deputy Inspector General levels. Harshitha Attalluri has been posted as IG, Police Headquarters, S Syam Sundar as IG, Crime Branch, and R Nishanthini as IG, Intelligence. Among the range-level postings, Yatish Chandra, Karthik K, and Narayanan T have been assigned as DIGs of Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kannur Ranges respectively. Dr Arul R B Krishna has been named Police Commissioner of Thiruvananthapuram City, while Shoukathali will head Kozhikode City Police.
Several district-level police leadership changes have also been announced. Merin Joseph has been appointed District Police Chief, Kozhikode Rural, while Prasanthan Kani B K, Sabu Mathew K M, Shaji Sugunan, Vishnu Pratheep T K, Abdul Rashi A, and S Deva Manohas have been posted to key district commands across the state. The reshuffle further includes appointments of B Krishna Kumar as SP, Railways, B V Vijaya Bharath Reddy as Commissioner of Kannur City, and Mohammad Nadeemuddin as District Police Chief, Thrissur Rural, reflecting a broad restructuring of Keralam’s policing framework.
