The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Vivek Kumar Dewangen, IAS (1993 batch, Manipur cadre) as the Secretary of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
Dewangen is currently serving in his cadre. He will take charge of the new post from the date he assumes office and will continue until his superannuation or further orders, whichever comes earlier.
The order states that he will hold the post in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, with the post being temporarily downgraded to the Additional Secretary level.
