Hyderabad: Vivek Jaiswal, Indian Telecom Service (ITS) officer, has taken charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) and Director (Technical) of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a Schedule ‘A’ Miniratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) functioning under the Department of Atomic Energy.

Jaiswal brings with him more than 30 years of professional experience spanning telecommunications, electronics, instrumentation, technology management, business development and public-sector administration.

Over the course of his career, he has held significant responsibilities across organisations including Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). His professional journey reflects a strong combination of technical expertise, strategic management and institutional leadership.

Jaiswal holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Instrumentation from SATI, Vidisha, along with an MBA from IIM Lucknow. He has also undertaken executive-level programmes at IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad and ESCP Europe, further strengthening his expertise in leadership and management.

In recognition of his contribution to the telecommunications sector, Jaiswal has been honoured with the prestigious Vishistha Sanchar Sewa Padak during his tenure with BSNL.

With his extensive techno-managerial background, Jaiswal is expected to bring valuable experience and strategic direction to ECIL as the company continues to strengthen its capabilities in electronics, technology and strategic-sector solutions.
