Lucknow, Sep 21: The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 10 senior IAS officers in a major administrative reshuffle, changing the leadership of several key departments, including Energy, Health, Higher Education, Agriculture, Labour and Panchayati Raj.
The orders issued on September 20, 2026, include changes at the Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary levels.
Key IAS Transfers in Uttar Pradesh:
- Amit Kumar Ghosh has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education.
- Ashish Kumar Goel has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary, Labour and Employment, moving out of the Energy Department.
- V Hekali Zhimomi has been posted as Principal Secretary, Medical Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education.
- Ranvir Prasad has been appointed Principal Secretary, Energy and Additional Energy Sources. He will also head major state power-sector bodies, including UPPCL, UPPTCL, UPRVUNL and UPSLDC.
- Mahendra Prasad Agarwal has been posted as Principal Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change.
- Anil Kumar has been given charge as Principal Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies, besides responsibility as Commissioner, Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
- Amrit Abhijat has received additional charge of Transport, while continuing with Tourism, Culture and Religious Affairs.
- Amit Gupta has been given additional charge of Technical Education, along with Stamp and Registration.
- M.K.S. Sundaram has been posted as Principal Secretary, Agriculture, with additional responsibilities covering agriculture education, research, marketing and related areas.
- Ravindra has been appointed Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj.
The reshuffle brings fresh senior-level leadership to several major departments of the Uttar Pradesh government, particularly energy, health, higher education, agriculture and rural administration.
