In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, 19 senior officers at the level of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Pr CCIT) and Principal Director General of Income Tax (Pr DGIT) have been reassigned across India. Among the notable moves: Jahanzeb Akhtar is now Pr CCIT (NFAC), Delhi; Preeti Garg takes charge as Pr CCIT, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry; and Prawin Kumar steps in as Pr CCIT, Delhi.
Other key appointments include Ganpati Bhat (Karnataka & Goa), Krishna Murari (Pune), Nav Ratan Soni (MP & Chhattisgarh), and Niraj Kumar (WB & Sikkim). Several others have been entrusted with critical zones, reinforcing the department’s administrative structure.
