In a recent bureaucratic update, the Government of West Bengal has entrusted three IAS officers with new responsibilities to strengthen key departments.
Shakil Ahmed has been appointed as Additional DLRS, in the rank of Senior Special Secretary to the Government of West Bengal. Meanwhile, Dr. P. Ulaganathan, currently serving as Secretary, Panchayat & Rural Development, has been given additional charge as CEO, WBETS under the Information Technology & Electronics Department.
In another development, Shubhanjan Das, Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, will now also hold the charge of Secretary, Information Technology & Electronics Department.
The reshuffle aims to enhance coordination between critical departments such as rural development, health, and information technology, ensuring streamlined governance across the state.
