Thirty-One IPS officers empanelled for ADG rank in Government of India

In a significant administrative development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the empanelment of 31 senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers for holding the rank of Additional Director General (ADG) in the Government of India. This move is part of the routine yet crucial exercise to strengthen leadership across various central police organizations and departments.

Among the officers empanelled are several well-regarded names from diverse state cadres. Notable among them are Pavan Kumar Rai, Vijay Kumar Singh, Devendra Singh Chauhan, Sanjay Kumar Jain, and Vijay Kumar. The list also includes officers such as Abhin Dinesh Modak, Ayush Mani Tripathi, Maheshwar Dayal, Sumit Sharan, and Saurabh Tripathi, who have demonstrated commendable service records and administrative acumen.

Other senior officers who made it to the ADG empanelment list include Sanjay Kumar Gunjyal, Neelesh Kumar, Raghubir Lal, Rahul Srivastava, Rajesh Subarno, Abhinav Kumar, and Bhanu Bhaskar. Their empanelment paves the way for future appointments to key posts at the central level, particularly in institutions such as the CBI, NIA, BSF, CRPF, and other central forces.

The list also features Jyoti Narain, Hargobinder Singh, Sagar Preet Hooda, Sharad Agarwal, Viplav Kumar Choudhry, Madhusudhana Reddy, Omendra Nath Bhaskar, Jaideep Singh, Anand Pratap Singh, and Amitabh Singh Dhillon. Officers like Ashish Batra, Samir Ilme, Janardan Singh, and Rekha Lohani have also been empanelled, along with Sanjay Kumar, rounding off an impressive cohort of senior IPS officers now eligible for leadership roles at the national level.

This empanelment signifies a critical milestone in the careers of these officers and highlights the government’s intent to deploy experienced leadership in key national security and administrative roles. The selections were made based on rigorous evaluation of service records, leadership capabilities, and domain expertise.
