Telangana has undergone a significant administrative reshuffle, with 21 IPS officers being reassigned to various key positions across the state. The move is aimed at strengthening law enforcement and enhancing efficiency in different departments. Among the major appointments, Dr. Anil Kumar has been posted as the Additional Director General of Police (Personnel) at the Office of the Director General of Police, Telangana, while also taking on the additional charge as Director General of the Telangana Special Protection Force, Hyderabad. M Srinivasulu has been appointed as the Inspector General of Police, CID, and Ambar Kishor Jha will now serve as the Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam.
Several officers have been promoted or transferred to strategic positions. Sunpreet Singh has been elevated to DIGP and assigned as the Commissioner of Police, Warangal. Ms. Chetna Mylabhutala takes charge as SP, Women Safety Wing, Telangana, Hyderabad, while Ms. Sindhu Sarma has been appointed as SP, Intelligence. Potharaju Sai Chaitanya and Gaush Alam have been named Commissioners of Police for Nizamabad and Karimnagar, respectively. In addition, Akhil Mahajan has been posted as SP, Adilabad, and Chennuri Rupesh will now oversee the Telangana Anti-Narcotic Bureau in Hyderabad.
Other notable postings include Akshansh Yadav as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Yadadri Bhongir, Rachakonda, and Paritosh Pankaj as SP, Sangareddy. Gite Mahesh Babasaheb has been posted as SP, Rajanna Sircilla, while Ankit Kumar Sahkhwar takes on the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Warangal East. Officers such as A Bhaskar (Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mancherial, Ramagundam), K Narasimha (SP, Suryapet), and Mrs. K Shilpavalli (Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Hyderabad City) have also been assigned new responsibilities.
The reshuffle also includes Y Saisekhar, who has been named SP, SIB, Intelligence, while P Karunakar will serve as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Peddapalli, Ramagundam Commissionerate. P Ravinder has been appointed as SP, CID. This large-scale reorganization is expected to enhance administrative efficiency and improve policing across the state, ensuring better law and order management in key regions.
