Telangana government announces major reshuffle of 13 IAS officers

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Telangana government has transferred 13 IAS officers to new positions. Among the key appointments, Mrs. Smita Sabharwal has been designated as Secretary for Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture (YAT & C), and will also hold additional charge as Member Secretary of the State Finance Commission and Director of Archaeology. E. Sridhar has been appointed as the Secretary for the Backward Classes (BC) Welfare Department, while Mrs. Anita Ramachandran has taken over as Secretary for the Women & Child Development (WCD) and SC Department.

In other changes, Ilambarithi has been appointed as Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), while S.S. Lotheti will serve as CEO of the Arogyasri Health Care Trust. Mrs. Srijana G. has been assigned the role of Director for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (PR & RD), and Mrs. Chittem Lakshmi will head the AYUSH Directorate. Krishna Aditya S has been given the responsibility of Director for Intermediate Education and will also serve as Secretary to the Board of Intermediate Education.

Additionally, K. Surendra Mohan has been made Commissioner of Transport, C.H. Kiran will take charge as Director of Prohibition and Excise, and D.K. Bhaskar has been appointed Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of TRANSCO. Bhaskar will also serve as the Special Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister in the Finance and Administrative Coordination (FAC) role. Sanjay Kumar has been assigned the FAC position for the Commissioner of Labour, while Dr. Gaurav Upal, currently the Resident Commissioner at Telangana Bhawan, will be in charge of the FAC role for the Secretary of Coordination in the General Administration Department (GAD).
