The Tamil Nadu government has issued new postings for nine IPS officers in a major police administration reshuffle. Dr G Dharmarajan has been appointed DIG, Intelligence (Security), Chennai, while Pakerla Cephas Kalyan has been posted as DIG, Intelligence (Internal Security), Chennai. P Saravanan will take over as DIG, CID Intelligence, Chennai.
Among other appointments, G K Uddhavrao has been named SP, Organized Crime Intelligence Unit, Chennai, and A Myilvaganan has been posted as SP, Special Branch CID, Chennai. Dr C Madhan has been appointed SP-I, Security Branch CID, while K Shanmugam and G S Madhavan will serve as SP-II, Security Branch CID, Chennai. N Silambarasan has also been appointed SP, Special Division, Special Branch CID, Chennai. The latest reshuffle is expected to further strengthen the state’s intelligence and security framework.
