Swatantra Kumar Singh is an IAS officer of the 2007 batch of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He has been posted as Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Indore with additional charge of MD, MP Finance Corporation, Indore since February 22, 2024.
Before that, he was Secretary, Backward Classes & Minorities Welfare Department with additional charge of Nomadic and Semi-Nomadie Tribes Department1. He has also served as Director, Rehabilitation, NVDA, Bhopal2 and Director, Town & Country Planning & Additional Commissioner – Urban Administration & Development, Bhopal2.
He is one of the nine IAS officers who were transferred and posted by the Madhya Pradesh government on July 24, 20233.
