Sonal Swaroop, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the AGMUT cadre from the 2012 batch, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, New Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme.
The officer was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Her tenure will be five years from the date she assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The competent authority has been requested to relieve her of her current duties immediately so that she can take up her new assignment in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation.
Central Deputation Joining Deadline:
The appointment order reiterates the joining requirement prescribed under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) circular dated August 17, 2005. Under the directions of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), an officer selected under the Central Staffing Scheme must join the assigned post within three weeks of the issuance of the appointment order.
