Tamil Nadu has reshuffled responsibilities among six SP-rank IPS officers, with two officers receiving promotions. Dr C Madhan has been elevated to the SP rank and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), West, Tirunelveli City. Similarly, S Madhivanan has been promoted and will serve as DCP, North, Madurai City.
In addition, R Pandiarajan has been transferred as SP/Commandant of Tamil Nadu Special Police II Battalion, Avadi. K Maheshwari has assumed charge as SP, Tamil Nadu Commando Force, Chennai. R Ponkarthik Kumar has been appointed DCP, Law and Order, Pallikaranai, Tambaram, while A C Karthikeyan is the new DCP, Law and Order, Adyar, Greater Chennai.
