The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has granted ex-post facto approval for Shyamal Misra, IAS (HY:96), who currently serves as the Administrator of “Digital Bharat Nidhi” in the Department of Telecommunications, to take on the additional charge of Additional Secretary for the Department of Telecommunications under the Ministry of Communications.
This assignment is effective retrospectively from April 27, 2026, and will continue until December 31, 2026, or until a regular incumbent is appointed, or until further orders are issued, whichever is earliest. The official order was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training on October 2, 2026.
