The Tamil Nadu government has carried out a significant reshuffle of IAS officers, assigning several senior bureaucrats to important departments and administrative positions. S Vijayakumar has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department, while V Arun Roy will assume charge as Secretary, Higher Education Department. P Umanath has been posted as Chairman and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation.
In the latest administrative changes, MS Shanmugham has been named Commissioner of Tourism, A Arun Thamburaj has been appointed Director of Information and Public Relations, and K Elambahavath will serve as Collector of Salem district. In addition, N Subbaiyan has been transferred as Secretary, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department. The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening governance and improving departmental coordination across the state.
