The post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) will fall vacant on February 1, 2026, following the completion of the tenure of incumbent CMD Jai Prakash Dwivedi. As the Government of India is yet to appoint a regular successor, an interim arrangement has been made.
Harish Duhan, who is currently serving as CMD of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), has been entrusted with the additional charge of CMD, WCL until further orders.
