Santosh Rastogi’s tenure as IG, NIA extended by two years

The deputation tenure of Santosh Rastogi, who is currently serving as Inspector General (IG) of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), has been extended for a period of two years beyond August 5, 2025.

Rastogi, a 1998-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the Maharashtra cadre, has played a key role in various national security investigations. His extended tenure is expected to further strengthen the agency’s operational efficiency.
