Sahil Gupta, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2018 batch, has been posted as the Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Citizen Resources Information Officer (DC-CRIO) of Palwal, Haryana. He is a native of Karnal district in Haryana.
Gupta did his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Karnal, and graduated in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. He then went on to do his Master’s in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
Gupta joined the IAS in 2018 and was initially posted as the Assistant Collector in the Hisar district. He then served as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Hansi and the District Development Officer of Fatehabad. In his previous posting, he was the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Nuh district.
As the DC-CRIO, Gupta will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Citizen’s Charter and the Right to Information Act in the district. He will also be responsible for providing information and assistance to citizens on government schemes and programs.
