In a recent update, the Karnataka government has revised the transfer orders of several Indian Police Service (IPS) officers previously posted across the state. As per the modified notification, Chandragupta has now been reassigned as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Intelligence. Y S Ravi Kumar takes charge as IGP, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), while Shantanu Sinha is designated as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), Northeastern Range, Kalaburagi.
Among other changes, Dr Gopal M Byakod has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Traffic, Bengaluru South. Jitendra Kumar Dayama will continue as SP, Anti-Naxal Force in Udupi. Mithun H N has been assigned the role of DCP, Law and Order, Mangaluru City. Meanwhile, Dr Simi Mariam George retains her position as Joint Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory in Bengaluru.
