REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) officially handed over the WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission Limited SPV to Adani Energy Solutions Limited, on May 30, 2025. This project, with an estimated cost of Rs. 1,807.46 crore, is part of the ISTS Transmission initiative under the TBCB route. Adani emerged as the winning bidder and will implement the project on a BOOT basis.
The handover ceremony included key representatives from RECPDCL, Adani Energy, and the Central Transmission Utility. The transmission project is slated for completion by January 1, 2028, and includes setting up a major substation and key LILO works to strengthen the power grid in Maharashtra.
