The five-member Supreme Court Collegium, responsible for recommending appointments to the Supreme Court, has been reconstituted following the retirement of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud on November 10. The newly formed collegium will now be led by newly appointed CJI Sanjiv Khanna.
Alongside him, the five-member collegium includes Justices BR Gavai, Suryakant, Hrishikesh Roy, and AS Oka. Additionally, the three-member collegium for recommending appointments to the High Courts now consists of Chief Justice Khanna, Justice Gavai, and Justice Suryakant.
