IRS (IT) officer Rakesh Gupta has been appointed as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) in the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
In this new role, he will oversee vigilance matters and promote transparency and accountability within India’s apex direct taxation authority. His appointment is expected to further enhance integrity in the organisation.
