Rajesh Kumar Meena takes charge as Maharashtra’s top bureaucrat

Veteran IAS officer Rajesh Kumar Meena (1988 batch) has officially taken over as Chief Secretary of Maharashtra. While assuming the state’s highest bureaucratic post, he will also continue his responsibilities as Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue), Registration and Stamp Duty, Revenue and Forest Department.

Hailing from Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, Meena is recognized for his composed leadership, deep policy acumen, and a progressive, reform-driven outlook. Throughout his career, he has held significant roles in departments such as Tribal Development, Planning, and Water Resources, where he contributed meaningfully to the design and execution of welfare initiatives and infrastructure development strategies.
