R Sudhakar is a 2003-batch IPS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre.

He was previously posted as IGP, West Zone, Coimbatore.

He has a long stint in Chennai, having held various posts in the city, including DIG, Madurai range.

Sudhakar is known for his expertise in traffic management and has implemented several successful initiatives in the past.

He is expected to take up his new assignment on October 1, 2023
