Sandeep Kumar Garg, a 2012 batch IPS officer of the Punjab cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on deputation basis.
The appointment places him in one of India’s premier counter-terror investigation agencies. Garg is expected to contribute significantly to national security and high-profile investigations handled by the NIA.
