In a significant development, seven IPS officers from the 2011 batch in Chhattisgarh have been elevated to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP). The officers promoted include Santosh Kumar Singh, Indira Kalyan Elesela, Govardhan Ram Thakur, Tilak Ram Kosima, Prashant Kumar Thakur, Ajat Shatru Bahadur Singh, and Dr. Lal Umed Singh.
Renu Pillai assigned additional charge as chief secretary of Chhattisgarh
Mrs. Renu Pillai, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chief Secretary (CS) of Chhattisgarh during the leave period of Amitabh Jain, the incumbent Chief Secretary. This arrangement will be effective from January 11 to January 21. Mrs. Pillai is a 1991 batch IAS officer.
Four IPS officers in Chhattisgarh elevated to IGP Rank
Three IPS officers from the 2007 batch in Chhattisgarh—Ramgopal Garg, Deepak Kumar Jha, and Abhishek Shandilya—have been promoted to the rank of Inspector General of Police (IGP).
