New Postings in Income Tax Department
The Income Tax Department has announced new postings for five senior officers in the rank of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax/Principal Director General of Income Tax.
Key Appointments:
Pankaj Kumar Mishra has been appointed as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Pr CCIT) for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Pawan Kumar will take charge as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions) in Delhi.
Ganapati Bhat has been appointed as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (International Taxation) in Delhi.
Sanjay Bahadur will head the Principal Director General of Income Tax (Training) in Delhi.
Rahul Karna has been posted as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax for Odisha\

Jahanzeb Akhtar, currently holding the position of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (NFAC) in Delhi, will also be in charge of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (NaFAC) in Delhi.
These appointments are effective immediately and are expected to bring new leadership and focus to the Income Tax Department in the respective regions and areas of responsibility.
