In a significant move towards advancing India’s energy transition goals, NTPC and its subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), have signed multiple agreements with the Government of Chhattisgarh. The agreements, valued at Rs. 96,000 crore, encompass a wide range of energy initiatives, including nuclear power, pumped hydro storage, and renewable energy (RE) projects.
The signing took place at the Chhattisgarh Energy Investors Summit 2025 in Raipur and marks a major step in promoting sustainable energy solutions. These projects will contribute significantly to India’s commitment to energy transition and its long-term Net Zero targets. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies in clean energy, the partnership aims to enhance power generation capacity while ensuring environmental sustainability.
