NMDC has kicked off FY26 with a blockbuster April, delivering its best-ever monthly performance. The mining giant produced 4.00 million tonnes (MT) of iron ore and sold 3.63 MT—marking an all-time high for April since inception. With a 15% production rise and 2.8% sales growth over the corresponding period last year, NMDC is clearly charting a high-growth path.
CMD Shri Amitava Mukherjee praised the record-setting despatch numbers from Kirandul, Bacheli, and Donimalai mines—up by 12%, 4%, and a stunning 88% respectively. Notably, April 2025 also marked NMDC’s highest-ever monthly despatch, jumping 23% from last year. The Bacheli Complex recorded its best April road despatch at 2.22 lakh tonnes, up 25%, while pellet production hit a record 0.23 lakh tonnes—surpassing the 2018 milestone. NMDC’s performance underscores its robust operational strategy and its drive toward the 100 MT production target by 2030.
