NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Government of India Enterprise, has successfully renewed the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accreditation for its Centre for Applied Research & Development (CARD) laboratories under the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
The renewed NABL accreditation is valid from January 23, 2026, to January 22, 2030, and covers 115 testing parameters across Mechanical, Chemical, and Biological disciplines.
The accreditation includes key laboratory services such as:
- Air Quality Testing
- Water and Effluent Quality Testing
- Material Testing
- General Analytical Testing
- Clay and Paint Testing
- Soil Testing
- Microbiology
- Fuel Quality Testing
- Metal Testing
The NABL Renewal Accreditation Certificate was formally presented by Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman & Managing Director, NLCIL, to Neeraj Kumar, Chief General Manager & Unit Head, CARD, in the presence of Director (Planning & Projects) R P S Sisodia, senior officials, and the CARD team.
The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation reinforces NLCIL’s commitment to global quality standards, technical competence, and reliable laboratory management systems. It ensures international benchmarks in testing accuracy, traceability, and quality assurance.
Speaking on the occasion, CMD Prasanna Kumar Motupalli emphasized that accreditation reflects institutional discipline, operational excellence, and alignment with the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat.’ He noted that strong certification frameworks enhance credibility, stakeholder confidence, and global competitiveness.
The renewed NABL accreditation further strengthens NLCIL’s in-house R&D capabilities, supporting its Mining, Thermal Power, and Renewable Energy operations while ensuring environmental compliance and material integrity across projects.
