New Delhi: NLC India Limited has received a fresh credit-rating assessment from India Ratings & Research Private Limited, covering bank loan facilities and debt instruments with a combined value of Rs. 12,525 crore.
The latest rating review reinforces the strong credit profile of the Navratna public sector enterprise, with top-tier ratings assigned or reaffirmed across its bank borrowings, non-convertible debentures (NCDs) and commercial paper programme.
NLC India disclosed the rating actions in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
India Ratings has assigned an ‘IND AAA/Stable’ rating to NLC India’s bank loan facilities amounting to Rs. 1,102 crore.
The IND AAA rating represents the highest level of creditworthiness on India Ratings’ domestic rating scale. The Stable outlook suggests that the rating is expected to remain broadly unchanged over the near term.
The latest rating action adds to NLC India’s strong standing across its debt portfolio and financing arrangements.
India Ratings has also affirmed the ‘IND AAA/Stable’ rating on NLC India’s Rs. 2,500 crore non-convertible debentures (NCDs).
The affirmation means the company’s existing top-rated credit profile for these debt securities has been maintained following the agency’s review.
NLC India’s Rs. 6,000 crore Commercial Paper (CP) programme has retained the ‘IND A1+’ rating.
India Ratings’ IND A1+ is the highest rating on its domestic short-term credit scale. It indicates a very strong ability to meet short-term financial commitments.
The rating agency has further affirmed ratings on bank loan facilities worth Rs. 2,923 crore. These facilities carry ratings of ‘IND AAA/Stable’ and ‘IND A1+’, as disclosed by the company.
